have you managed to pass the exam?![]()
Don't worry, for most people it's easier to write than read in English.

"I'm sitting watching TV" is OK.
and, in fact, "to take a good look to something" means "echarle un buen vistazo a algo".....
Muriel, from my point of view the exam that was given to me was an intermediate one. I was told that the exams are more difficult in June rather than in December because there are more people who take this kind of exams in June than in December. Anyway, it is really relative because what the teachers that make the exams do is to make more difficult some parts of it and other parts less difficult. For instance, the Reading part was a bit more complex than the Use of English part.
With respect to the sentences, "echarle un vistazo a algo" could be written like this "to take a glance to something". "Take" and "Catch" can be both used in this sentences as to say, "to take/to catch a glance to sculpture".

On the other hand, Writing is better than Speaking and I consider to have a good vocabulary in general so I hope to learn some other words with you all.
I´m a little lost with the degrees, but this year I´m going to do an exam for CERTIFICACIÓN to pass to 1st course of Advanced at E.O.I (escuela oficiaL de idiomas)![]()
I must make more exercises and study a lot if I want to pass my exam![]()
I would say "Persevere and you will succeed", that's my phrase header.

Last year I was asked to take the TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language) for the scholarship I was applying for. Has anyone taken it? What do you think about it? It all was quite good for me.
For 2012 I would like to take the new one at the EOI (I think they named it just C1), and probably the CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English). What do you know about them? I think I will be fine with the C1, but I'm not so confident with the CPE because my English is not very... let's say "academic".In fact, some years ago, my teachers defined my English level as "very fluent but very street-like".
(It's driving me mad not using abbreviations in this post).
The TOEFL?
My God, it's said to be one of the most difficult english exams ever exist so you might be very self-confident and capable. On the other hand, the Proficiency it's said to be really difficult too. What many people do when taking this kind of exams is to take the F.C.E. and then attend english-classes one or two years, then they skip the C.A.E. so that they attend another year of english-classes to take the Prof English Exam. They say the C.A.E. is not useful (it doesn't mean it's useless) because it's really similar to the F.C.E.
Anyway, that's what everybody says, you'll see and wish you luck.
Still in tocuh with you all.

I'd like to be on Europe so I wish in a years or so I took a plane and went to England! I love the pronunciation of the english people as well as scottish ones.
